Scholarship and Grant Opportunities
Alice P. Fabrykiewicz, RDH, BS CDHA Scholarship
ADHA-CT would like to announce the availability of the Alice P. Fabrykiewicz, RDH, BS, Scholarship Award. The scholarship is a monetary award of $500 to honor one or two students pursuing the profession of dental hygiene. Selection is made by the Scholarship Committee based on the candidate’s demonstration of academic excellence and citizenship with final approval of the ADHA-CT Board of Trustees. The scholarship money will be sent directly to the Dental Hygiene School in the recipient’s name.
Must be a Connecticut resident and student accepted into or currently attending a dental hygiene program located in Connecticut.
Must submit completed Scholarship Application and the following materials:
* . Resume identifying involvement in school, community, or volunteer activities.
* Essay discussing how interest in dental hygiene developed and identifying objectives for personal growth after dental hygiene licensure.
* Most recent transcript forwarded directly from school.
The following may also be submitted for consideration:
* Financial need.
* Letter(s) of reference from individuals known by applicant (other than family).
* Recommendation from faculty.
Shall be made by the Scholarship Committee upon receipt of completed application and support materials, with final approval of the BOT.
Monetary amount, determined yearly by ADHA- CT, sent directly to the School of Dental Hygiene in recipient’s name.

2021 Southeastern Scholarship
2021 ADHA CT Southeastern Scholarship Information:
(In honor of Alice Fabrykiewicz, RDH & Carmel M. DiLione, RDH)
Students who are enrolled in an accredited dental hygiene school pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree. You must live within our Southeastern component area.
- Application form MUST be filled out completely and accurately
- Additional documents required to submit along with application include:
*Unofficial transcripts with most recent grades
*Resume with past work / leadership / volunteer experience
*Short essay telling us about yourself and your career goals
*One letter of recommendation
2. Awards Are Determined:
Scholarships are based on need as well as a student’s academic performance, volunteer work and personal qualifications.
3. Award Amount:
For 2020, the award will be a total value of $1,000. (That amount will be distributed as $700.00 + one year membership to ADHA at $300).

We highly encourage students to join us at ADHA CT SOUTHEASTERN meetings for fellowship and mentoring.
Our component meetings are an informal gathering of local member hygienists, providing guest speakers for continuing education, local and national RDH news, and networking opportunities.

2021 Northwestern Scholarship
Applicant must be a Connecticut resident, currently attending a dental hygiene program in Connecticut. They should also reside in the Greater Waterbury area.
Applicant must submit the following four items:
- Scholarship application form
- Resume of school, community, and volunteer activities
- Short essay regarding how interest in dental hygiene developed, and future objectives
- Copy of transcript (unofficial copy is acceptable)
Selection shall be made by the Northwestern Scholarship Committee upon receipt of completed application and supporting materials. Applications must be complete, and received by the date specified.
The monetary amount, determined annually by Northwestern , will be sent directly to the school of dental hygiene, in the recipient’s name.
